Steve just completed a wonderfully successful weekend which included being an honored guest at a retirement party and speaking at one of his favorite churches.
On his way to Ohio last Friday, Steve stopped in West Virginia to attend a party for the retiring senior vice president of the Grant County (WV) Bank, Gerald Sites. This man had worked at the bank his entire business career of 52 years. Remarkable! While at Gerald’s retirement party, Steve was able to meet many prominent people who expressed excitement about The Inn we are building. Several of them said that they are willing to help in any way they can to make it a big success.
At the Church of the Saviour in Wooster, Ohio on Sunday, Steve reported a tremendous response to his message. In addition to four decisions for Christ, 39 military personnel, first responders, and veterans were honored for their service. Steve’s good friend and ministry favorite John Schmid, accompanied by a banjo player who used to play with Bill Monroe, entertained the congregation with some rousing bluegrass gospel music. Steve said he wished everyone could’ve been there for such a great service.
