Last week, representatives from SWEA traveled to Atlanta for the re:fuel Atlanta conference by Next Generation Alliance, an arm of Luis Palau Association. The goal of this conference was to be a time of refreshment and encouragement to members of the Next Generation Alliance. Years ago, Palau came up with goals for his ministry. They were 1) evangelize the lost, 2) revitalize the church, and 3) train the next generation of leaders. The Next Generation Alliance (NGA) is the realization of the third part of Palau’s goal. Over 600 organizations are now a part of NGA.
At re:fuel Atlanta, Andrew Palau spoke. Luke Weaver said, “He’s a very compassionate speaker, like Jeremiah the weeping prophet.” The group heard reports from Palau’s NYC outreach.
And from JA Pérez’ Republic of Joy Festival in Costa Rica.
The group from SWEA found this time at re:fuel Atlanta to be refreshing, build vision for the future, and partner with other organizations. Luke Weaver was able to share about SWEA and Victory Weekend ministries, and we may partner with other organizations at future events because of connections made at this conference.
Together 2016, and upcoming event next year, was mentioned at re:fuel Atlanta.
Together 2016 is all about gathering one million people together on the D.C. mall to make a stand for Jesus.
“SWEA will get into this,” Luke Weaver said about Together 2016.
To close the re:fuel Atlanta conference, Steve Wingfield shared an encouragement to stay strong in the Lord and passionate about the gospel.
