Even though we didn’t get to conduct our planned Victory Weekend in Dover because of the heavy rain, many very good things happened while we were there.
Finish A Winner on Thursday went very well with driver Josh Reaume providing a very entertaining, informative talk and Q&A session with Steve Wingfield. Everyone there enjoyed Josh’s company, the snacks, the fellowship, and the terrific praise band from Faith Community Church. One person made a decision for Christ, and 11 military personnel, first responders, and veterans were honored for their service.
On Sunday, Steve spoke at Greensboro Baptist Church to a warm and enthusiastic congregation. Four people made a decision for Christ, and 23 service personnel were recognized and affirmed for their sacrifice and dedication.
We are thankful that we have so many friends and supporters in the Dover area. It is clearly a community in which we will invest more and more time as we continue to make friends and expand our event schedules.
Now it’s time to set our sights on Charlotte Motor Speedway coming up this weekend! Please be in prayer for our Victory Weekend team.
Charlotte has taken a whole new turn. The show car is going to be on site for a friend-making event, and Rodney from Smokin’ at the Track BBQ will be joining us in Rock City Campground. Are you ready for some BBQ? Fans will get lunch on Friday and Saturday, and we’ll also be feeding the MRO/Charlotte Motor Speedway Ambassador program volunteers and track security. We’re hoping the sun will shine all weekend because we’re planning to have a great time. Hope to see you there!
