Have you noticed that life is speeding up lately? There is something about this time of year that just seems a little more hectic than some of the others. With the Christmas season virtually upon us, it is even more important than usual to make certain that your relationship with the Lord doesn’t get lost in the shuffle of life.

It is always a good idea to devote an appreciable amount of time each day to pray, read your Bible, do your devotions or anything else which will cement your relationship with God that day. Time with God is always well spent.

As James told us, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…” (4:8a NKJV) Being close to God at any time of year is a profound blessing. He is there for you and very much wants you to commune with Him.
