Holy Land Tour – Spring 2024
Monday, March 11 – Saturday, March 23, 2024
We are thrilled to announce that we have scheduled a pilgrimage to the Holy Land on March 11 to 23, 2024! Steve loves every opportunity to guide this journey and to see the raw emotions and full grasp of the Scriptures that overcome those who journey with him.
Steve will lead up to 35 participants on an adventure to some of the most remarkable sites described in the Bible including Mount Nebo, from which God showed Moses Canaan; the site of John the Baptist’s beheading; Masada, Herod the Great’s desert palace; Banias Spring, where Peter confessed, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God;” Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene; the Mount of Beatitudes; the Jezreel Valley and Tel Megiddo, including fortifications of King Solomon and the water tunnel of King Ahab; the City of David; Qumram, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found; Beth Shean, where the Philistines hung King Saul’s body; the Garden of Gethsemane; and so many more!
Experience once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to receive baptism in the Jordan River; travel in a horse-drawn carriage through the deep and narrow passages, carved naturally by erosion, to Treasury Petra; tour a re-creation of a working farm and Galilean village as it may have been 2,000 years ago at Nazareth Village; take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee in a replica of the ancient wooden boat used in Jesus’s day; receive Communion at the Garden Tomb; experience a Shabbat dinner, just to name just a few!
Learn more of the history of this biblically significant region by visiting Madaba and observing the mosaic floor from the 6th century showing a map of the Holy Land as Christian pilgrims knew it; the Tabernacle at Timna Park, a life-size model of the tabernacle God instructed to be built in the book of Exodus; an ancient boat believed to be from Jesus’s time and discovered in the dry lakebed of the Sea of Galilee in 1986; the Warren Shaft, the main source of water to Jerusalem; Hezekiah’s Tunnel, a 1,750-foot tunnel carved during the reign of Hezekiah to bring water from one side of the city to the other; the Upper Room referenced in the Book of Acts; Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, Israel’s memorial to the victims of the Holocaust; the Western Wall tunnels; and the Church of St. Anne.
Being baptized in the Jordan River, standing on a hillside where Jesus Himself spoke to the masses, or praying in the Garden of Gethsemane will impact your life forever. We are blessed to see so many people experience this, and we are grateful to do it again. This will truly be an opportunity of a lifetime and an experience you will never forget.
