Festivals
Building on the glorious tradition of the “sawdust trail” tent evangelists like Billy Sunday and continuing in the grand legacy of the Billy Graham crusades, Wingfield Ministries stands ready, willing, and able to conduct festival events anywhere we are invited.
Always on the cutting edge of community-wide gatherings, Wingfield Ministries has held 60 major evangelistic outreaches in 16 states over a 20-year period. Calling our area-wide events “encounters” for most of our existence, we adopted the modern-day “festival” model pioneered by the Luis Palau and Billy Graham associations in 2008.
Festivals require an invitation from a community desiring to bring renewal and awakening to their church congregations and to instill a spirit of hope in their city, town, or village.
Festival preparations usually take 6-12 months with a series of events including prayer meetings, counselor training, committee assignments, and all of the other measures needed to put on a large-scale outreach. All activities and arrangements are approved and authorized by the local community and church leaders.
Budgets for festivals are raised and expended locally with no remuneration for Steve or his staff.
